Yves Saint Laurent creative director Stefano Pilati again presented his men’s collection with a short film, this one shot by French actor/writer/director Samuel Benchetrit and starring Benchetrit’s 11-year-old son, Jules.
For the last 20 years, the New Balance M576 sneaker has become the authoritative model of what trail running footwear should be. Its popularity with the adventurous weekend warriors and more recently, urban hipsters of Tokyo, have shaped its many metamorphosis including the variant MT576, a model exclusive to Tokyo’s mita sneakers.
Rounding out the 2007 MT576V – Raijin Edition to the glow-in-the-dark MT576S – FRAT Edition launched just a few months back, mita sneaker will be release a new edition – the MT576V Metal Footers. Designed by mita’s principle designer who goes by the moniker Sneaker Wolf, the Metal Footers constitute 2 design concepts – the prototype nature of the MT576 series and Japan’s fascinations with robotics. In creating the elaborated network of “illustrated pipes”, the graphics adorning the forefoot and portion of the rear. Sneaker Wolf applied free hand illustrations first before each is laser-etched by machine. The graphic also repeat itself on the sockliner, along with a Sneaker Wolf caricature motif.
The matte grey, metallic silver mita sneakers x sneaker wolf x New Balance MT576V Metal Footers Edition will be available at few selected retailers around the world on Saturday, July 11th. Meanwhile, mita sneakers is currently accepting pre-launch purchases on it website.
